- Measured angles in pattern blocks
- Calculated the total amount of degrees in a triangle, quadrangle, pentagon, hexagon and heptagon

- Began our nonfiction writing unit by writing for 50 minutes on a topic we know about
- Listed topics we know well and subtopics to brainstorm for our nonfiction writing unit
- Determined which subtopics need more information by writing about them
- Observed and discovered how particles move in hot and cold water
- Looked at narrative nonfiction texts and how they are different from other nonfiction texts
- Practiced taking notes on both videos and short texts
- Began reading Harris and Me by Gary Paulsen during read aloud
