5V News

What an amazing year we've had in 5V!  Thank you for all of your help and support in making this a great year for the students in 5V.  It has been a remarkable year and I will miss each and every student!

Thank you for your generous gift- we all know it will be put to good use!  I was touched by the homemade box and I will treasure it forever. 

A few things to wrap up...

End of year survey:  I am asking parents to please take a few moments to answer this brief survey.  Your feedback is extremely important to me and I find it very helpful to hear your thoughts at this time of year.  Thank you in advance!  You can find the survey here:

IXL: students will still have access to IXL through the summer and it's a great site to practice math concepts.

Google docs: students will have access to their Stratham accounts through the summer.  On Thursday we will also share all documents and folders with their future Exeter Region Coop accounts that they will use through CMS and EHS.  On Thursday, students will access these accounts and check that they are all in working order.

Students are also welcome to share their documents this summer with any other Gmail accounts.  Their new accounts are:  

username: 5firstinitiallastnameYOG@sau16.org

password: same as their current network password

So, my username would be: 5jvalenti20@sau16.org

A few reminders:
Our Odiorne field trip is on Monday.  We are leaving SMS at 9:30 and returning at 2:30 and we will go rain or shine.  Students should bring snack, lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, water shoes or old sneakers, extra shoes and clothes.  All parents are welcome to attend and may meet us there.

Please join us at 11:15 in the classroom on Wednesday, June 19th.  We will be performing our play and parents can view our altered books and judge our toothpick bridges. 

The 5th grade celebration is Wednesday, June 19th in the cafeteria.  Students should plan on arriving at 6:15. 

The 5th grade procession is at 2:30 on the last day of school.  Parents may meet students outside to see them exit Stratham Memorial School for the last time as 5th graders!

Reminders

CMS:
We had a great visit to CMS this morning where students were able to view their pod areas and tour the school!  The students also received a beginning supply list for next year. 

Field day:
Field day is tomorrow!  We will walk over to the park even in light rain.  Students should be prepared with sneakers, a water bottle, layers of clothing, a snack and sunscreen.  It will be a great day! 

"The Talk":
Nurse Lily will be visiting us early next week to teach us about puberty and body changes.  She will cover the same topics as fourth grade and there will be no new information for the students.
