I hope to see you this Thursday, September 19th at 6:30. We will discuss classroom routines, expectations and the 5th grade curriculum.
Some activities we did this week:
- Practiced finding factors of numbers
- Played "Factor Captor"
- Learned divisibility rules for 2,3,4,6 and 9
- Mapped our hearts during writing workshop
- Listed our writing territories
- Wrote about a pebble (a specific topic) rather a general topic
- Logged our reading using a paper log or Biblionasium
- Discussed the importance of choosing "just right" books
- Voted on our classroom rules
- Worked in groups to decide what our rules will look like and sound like in our classroom
- Continued listening to There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom
