Some activities we did this week:
- Reviewed the everyday uses of fractions
- Converted between mixed numbers and fractions
- Used pattern blocks to create fractions
- Wrapped up our social studies unit on early explorers and Native Americans
- Watched a Bill Nye video on blood and circulation
- Developed questions for our study of the circulatory system
- Created PowerPoint presentations during computer on the parts of speech
- Practiced determining importance reading nonfiction and fiction
- Used our "I Am" poems to create a page in our altered books
- Read with our second grade reading buddies
- Had a class discussion on 5th grade expectations for work and work time
